Saxon brooch

Last weekend I went out to one of my permissions.
A few 18 and 17 century copper coins and a couple of musket balls and buttons, nothing spectacular so far.
Until I saw this beauty. An early medieval disc brooch (fibula), dated from around the 9Th to 11Th century A.D.
Happy with it!

Awesome find Vincent. Nice save. You ever do any videos of your hunts? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see the countryside over there. Don't give away your site though. Anyway, congrats. Joe

Thx Joe. Nope I don't have any videos of my hunts. I enjoy watching detecting videos but make one myself would take to much of my precious detecting time.
