saw my friends today

I went out with my oldest son today while he was metal detecting and saw my old friends while there . They were resting in the shade and didn't want to move till they had too . I was just watching my son and taking pictures as I have my bad knee all fired up and swelled up so couldn't walk very well this week so didn't want to make it worse getting up and down to dig targets will hold off till its healed up some more.

Did you feed them anything? At a local duck pond near here, we have one that is a terror, not nice to anyone. Thanks for sharing. Kelley (Texas) :)

Na didn't try to feed them and they stayed around us most of the afternoon but kept a respectable distance from us when we got close to them they would move away from us . I was in the same park Monday and there was about 50 or more there but only saw 4 on Friday .

doesn't keep a respectable distance from me, but does just the opposite, he comes to me. He lets out a loud fog horn type noise and here he comes at a high rate of speed. You can hear his beak clicking together a hundred feet away. A chill goes down your back as you realize that you are his target. One of these days he may end up as a Sunday meal at our dinner table. Ha ha I know what that feels like myself . When we were young kids we lived next door to my grandmother with only a yard between us and she had two big gray geese and the gander just watched for us to come across that yard and like your goose here they would come and they would chase us all the way till we got in her back door . One day my grandmother was hanging clothes on the outdoors clothes line and the gander flew up behind her and blobbed her right in the back it wasn't long after he started that and they were gone . And us kids never shed a tear .
