Saw dr today and he said...............(long as usual)......

That my stomach and side problem of itching, soreness and numbness was or is probably Shingles....not the roof kind! And my physical illnesses have caused clinical depression or the clinical depression has caused my illnesses! I read an article about clinical depression and I have all the symptoms, including being confused and disoriented while driving. I was beginning to think I would quit driving before I hurt or killed myself or others. Really scary when a person gets that way.

I've been through it before and know what it is like, but refused to believe it was that again until reading the article! I told the dr I didn't want any medicine and he said how do you expect to get well? I should have said by prayer...but didn't...I believe he is a Christian, as he has beautiful pictures in his office with Bible verses! Since I didn't want any more prescriptions to pay for, he gave me enough medicine for two months and then I will see him then! Pray that I won't have to stay on anti-depressants as they are so expensive and I don't need to take more meds!! Too much harms more than it helps! My dad was a walking drug store from all that he was taking!

They keep older people doped up and that's not right! The causes of the problems should be taken care of and not just bandaids for them!

I know what you mean about lots of meds. I have never taken much - I take 2 pills a day now to keep my heart in good shape. I dont believe in taking lots of pills either but a few are to be expected as we age.
And God did give those medical talents to doctors so that they offer us help. We just have to decide which ones to refuse. An anti depressant doesnt sound like anything I'd want to take but that's just me.

it is easier for Dr to push pills than to treat the problem - maybe they get a kick back for the number of pills they push. I was pretty depressed the other day after losing the job. Had taken things back to Walmart and expected my last check to be there - it wasn't. Guess the realization I was 'unemployed' and not just that but 'fired' without a full understanding of what it was I was fired for confused and depressed me. I called Sherry before leaving the parking lot told her I was on the way home. Later, when I hadn't gotten home when expected she called me. I told her 'roughly' where I was and what direction the compass on the van told me I was going and I admitted to her "I'm lost".

She helped me find my bearings and finally made it home ok. I never get lost. Always prided myself on knowing where I was and what direction to take to get where I was going and here I was lost.

I have to wonder though about those who (psychologists, psychiatrists, etc.) who tell others about thier brains never seem to have a handle on their own brains. I get depressed when I have to go to a 'clinic' so I think that is really 'clinical depression' Betty

My prayers go out for you and your family as well. God bless and don't beat yourself up - we have an adversary who goes about as a roaring lion seeking whomever he can devour who is willing to do that for you and even accuse you though your sins are forgiven. God bless you Betty.

medicine, but legs hurt last night and could'nt move unless I got really bad cramps . If anyone has had cramps so badly that they couldn't walk or find relief then you know what I mean. Don't know if it was the medicine, but will see if I have the problem again, if so I'll quit taking the med. My dr. prescribed a med one time and I took one pill after having prescription filled and had such a headache and so sick, I immediately quit taking them. Found out later they do cause that with some people!

It's best if a person didn't have to take meds, as most are made from chemicals and not the herbs God created for that purpose!
