Got out Saturday for a few hours detecting. Went to a ball field in a small town close by. Hunted there for about 1 1/2 hours, found the merc dime there at 6" deep. Finally gave up because it took me a good 5 minutes or more to dig the merc, the ground is that hard and dry. Afternoon took the etrac with the 8x6 coil to a pecan grove where they camp at for the country fair and also a big blue grass festival. Lots of "aluminum nuggets"....melted beer cans that had been thrown in the camp fire. They mostly came in at CO41 so I didn't dig many of those signals. Found 2 wheaties there, a 1950 & 1952 about 7 inches deep, they both sounded loud and clear with the 8x6 and came in at CO39. The ring looks like its hand, home made, it came in at CO40. The clad amounts to $4.53. Found enough to keep it interesting and was a fun day, but mostly stuck to the shady spots cause the temp was 101. HH ken-ks.
