Dave and I decided to try a different spot Saturday and neither one of us had much hope of finding much but we didn't want to waste the day driving from place to place in search of the elusive quarry.Dave had directions to a couple of small beaches next to a friend of a friends house. When we got there I knew right where we were since this beach had been on my list but there is absolutely no place to park within a mile of the place. After a couple of hours not finding much but a small amount of clad Dave hit a hot spot and started finding old silver coins and we were off to the races after that.Shortly after finding a lucky marble(something good always happens)I snagged the dog tag(not military but ruff ruff).I was doing a jig and Dave thought I found gold and only shook his head when he realized it wasn't but it made my day.Dave found his first IH which looked better before drying out and a nice Buffalo nickel. The silver here came out better than other places but still not great shape, mostly good for scrap. We both ended up with a gold religious medal and I found a nice 10k signet. We each found a great variety of items(not all pictured)and it is always more fun hunting with a buddy.
Will post Dave's finds under this one.
