I decided to go to one of my favorite spots now that the corn is cut, In the past I dug over 100 Gardners and 50 or so Enfields from this spot and a few Merrill carbines so I know the place has the potential to give up a confederate button or two and almost did, I dug one with EML& CO,RICHMOND backmark. That was my heartbreaker maybe next time. I dug 2 more Gardners, 4 three ringers and a Spencer, and a round ball, a thimble, a flat button with a flower on it, and an eagle cuff...Not sure about the brass ring thing at the top or the lead piece it may be the bottom of a cleaner bullet...HH...Bruce

Good thing about finding the back of a CS button; you never know when you'll come up with a front <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Nice finds, David @ Dixie

Looks like that site is working for you also. Have you noticed if the corn is starting to come down around chambersburg yet?
