Had to kiss a lot of frogs but the Deleon delivered again! After work I headed to the park where I found the huge ring Saturday morning hoping that lightning would strike twice. I got there a little after 3:00 this park is about a mile or so from where I work. At first I was in a sea of can slaw pickings were slim so I moved to different area still lots of trash I turned the disc. up and started cutting through the trash and finding coins. I started out into the open area below a grassy hill and the clad was aplenty. I lowered the Disc. and as is a ritual I do I took out the gold rings that brought along dropped one in a small depression in the grass and ran the DeLeon over it I did this again with the other even smaller ring now both the D and I knew what we were looking for LOL. I do this so I can keep my eyes and ears tuned for this signal. The D with the clansweep and I were eating up the ground I tried to keep up but I did pass on a few targets, we had covered a pretty good sized area and it was about 5:30 or so and I figured I would hunt till 6:00 I made a turn at the far end of the field and got a large signal way to big to be anything but a can or a sprinkler head I had run into a few of these already but just past it was a broken nickel signal that rang up a strong 42-44 and did not jump higher or lower like a pull tab will.
