Headed out early to meet Vancouver Dan and hit a couple of parks sniffing for silver or gold. Picked up a few wheat cents and George VI pennies from the 40's and 50's and this little first for me.
Then after Dan went home I headed back near my home and hit a park that has given me a few silver rings and 60's silver dimes and quarter. Was there for about an hour and hit this little keeper. At least it wasn't a silver drought weekend. Was using my new 17" coil for the Minelab CTX3030 and this dime was down about 10" deep in very earthy soil.
1961 Canadian Young Elizabeth Silver Dime.
Also posting a nitro moment find from last Wednesday. I got a solid 12-25 signal from 4 directions and this was down about 4" deep. Now earlier this year I had my corneas replaced and my close up vision is pretty fuzzy without reading glasses so for a moment I thought I had a gold coin. Once I picked it up though I could tell it was thin and light. It's aluminum and wafer thin, I think it's off some junk earrings or a charm bracelet. Can't blame me for my heart racing though.
On the depressing side, I got up sunday morning to go get breakfast and found this.
And yes this is what it looks like, someone slashed my tire with a knife. In a security walked underground garage with cameras at my aprts. Of course no cameras face my car.
