I headed back to the school I was at Friday. I'm just searching a little strip of grass, but it's proving to be very productive.

I was right on the money in my last post about being due for a second silver really soon. In fact, I got this almost as soon as I got there:

And it was only 1" down! Some dirt must have been turned over somehow. Nothing else explains all the shallow old coins.

I kept working my pattern, with the occasional Wheat surfacing, and lots of older Lincoln pennies. I even managed a piece of silver jewelry, in the form of a nice little ring with some kind of weird pink stone:

I also managed to get a couple pieces of junk jewelry, and some trash, along with a kid that just wouldn't stop yapping. Luckily his Dad came by after awhile and told him to go back home, as they were going to the pool.

I recovered four Wheat's, dated '50, '50D, '52D, and '56. This brings me up to 114 Wheat's for the year, and a whopping 983 Wheat's since I started the hobby! 17 more Wheat's, and I bust 1,000!

Note: the picture(s) might not show up due to bandwidth limitations. If the picture(s) are not there, check back at a later time.
