Saturday at the Park brings in more quarters!

Took the MXT to one of the parks near me and picked up a bunch more quarters.
We have a round Micro Wave Dish and a Radio tower within a hundred yards that played havoc with
the sound/sensitivity of my machine. I found that if I left the toggle in the center and NOT pushed forward, it was quieter. Also keeping it in relic mode
helps quite it down as well, that and turning down the sensitivity. Found something that looked like a nasal spray container and a discarded
ballpoint several inches down, not shown in the photo. Everyone was at the Speedway track today, so the parks were not as full as normal
on a beautiful day like to day. Lots of sun and not rain. Thats later!

Well Robert you discovered another bit of knowledge about the MXT.

The C&J and Relic Alternate search mode (trigger forward) are identical in terms of mixed mode audio operation. They both have a static sound in the background. The odd mode is Relic Primary search mode (trigger in the center position). The all-metal portion of the signal here uses a slower internally fixed S.A.T. speed. This S.A.T. speed tends to interact with EMI a bit less and therefore allows a higher GAIN setting to be used with stability and allows a slower sweep speed.

If the c/j mode is too chatty I switch to the center relic mode and it works for me, Rob

I tell you what RR I'm going to start calling you the QUARTER KING. You can really finding those little rascals!!

This weekend was also another great day of hunting!
I thought the parks were going to be loaded with people but that was
not the case. Hardly a soul there!
