Saturday at the Park and Sunday Searching for a lost ring

These are some finds from my favorite park with a variety of bounties.
The Indian Chief I found today with my son trying to find a gold ring for
someone that pulled me aside at the park. He wanted me to go to his
house to locate a gold ring for his wife, that she lost three years ago. I failed
thus far but, I may recruit some help. I may have to employ my bosses DFX
I really would like to find that ring for this couple and time is of the essence. The
couple is planning a move and will be leaving said property by Jan 1 st. The ring
was a ring the dad bought the mom and the daughter was given it and it means a
whole lot to her. The panic is starting to set in she has actually detected the whole area
herself with a bounty hunter that someone let her borrow. There is a scrap yard next
store across the railroad tracks, but the thought is that the kids that used to live in the house
would pay visits to this scrap yard and bring back all kinds of items and play with them in the
back yard. I was getting all types of hits and almost constant in areas that the ring could have
been lost in. I discriminated against everything that was not in the gold ring area on the Ace
350 and preset this custom mode the night before. I tested a variety of rings and watched
to see if a good gold signal wavered and it didn't. I dug everything that fell in the ring
area and stayed there. I have a buddy at work with a mine lab and I know my bosses
detector loves the gold I all ready found a men's wedding band with his this past summer.
I am not saying the Ace can't do the job because I have found a gold ring with it but as you
all know there are machines that do better in different circumstances. I know for a fact that the Ace
350 is not a good salt water sand detector so as this is so are other circumstances true. If anyone
can give any knowledge that they have gained over the time that they have invested in the hobby
any and all would be most appreciated.
Oh, if anyone knows what the last item is in the above picture that would be cool. The item is 3
inches long and around quarter of an inch in diameter at the largest. It has a hole that continues the length
of the item. The piece seems to be made of copper but I haven't sanded it.

Nice finds! all interesting. the one Item looks like a baseball bat.

Either a baseball bat or club for the Indian. Nice finds anyway you look at it. Good luck with the gold ring for the neighbors. I had someone ask me about finding a gold wedding ring several years ago and then changed their mind. I think it's because I told a mutual friend that I would not look for it without that person who lost it being present and it must have got turned around from what I really said. Anyway, it's their loss.
