Saturday and Sunday

Got out Saturday for a couple hours and went back to an 1850's farmhouse I have detected a few times finding silver and wheat's. I went this time with the 17" coil on the CTX. I did not find any Indians at this property in my previous searches, this time I found 6 along with 10 wheat's. All coins were under a very old large maple tree that I thought I had searched thoroughly before.
Dates are 1881, 1887, 1888, 1890, 1904, 1905. This now makes 10 Indians for the year.

Sunday I hit the old boys camp close to my home. This spot, a favorite of mine because it's close by and all targets are old, is just about played out. Found 3 Mercs, a no date Buffalo and 3 wheat's. I have found 30 silver coins there and over 100 wheat's.

Thanks for looking.

That's the way to smoke the Indians. What was the average depth on those poor Indians , what kind of signal did you get .Still no v nickel but your getting close good luck there's one with your name on it. that's some pretty silver to . Great hunt sube

Sube the Indians were no deeper than 7-8", rang up 12-35/36, just a bit lower than a zincoln.

You ran your stock coil on these grounds ? What was your sensitivity level at . sube

Sube, yeah I ran the stock coil before, the sandy soil is damp now so it may be a combination soil and coil. I always run auto +3, seems much quieter

I usually run at +3 23 for sense on the small coil and have dug many wheat's and Indians at 8 plus inches . just wondering what your sense is set at. sube

Sube, i keep it at auto +3, the 17" coil seems to run a little higher than the stock does on the same ground. I have pulled wheats and silvers at 10"+ with the 17" coil. You should try the small coil at +3 see if it is quieter, i bet it will be and your depth will not suffer.
