Went out with Jim Saturday to the farm her in Wilson, NC. Thanks Jim for joining and come back anytime. Dug the 1916 Barber at about 4-6 inhes at the most. Found the nice silver jewelry piece in almont perfect condition, but chain is broke. Found a button also, button rings like silver and has a sheild of some sort on it. Overall it was a nice day swining and digging.

nIce looking finds. :bouncy: The button is especially cool.

I reread you post... i was just about to say is that button silver? Some of the early ones especially those from England were silver. Are we sure its a button and not a cuff liink? Most of the buttons ive found rarely ring in the silver range.

Nice finds! The button looks like it might have a state seal on it. Several states have seals which are a crest with figures on both sides of the crest. Is there a motto visible?

I'm sure its a button. It has the little loop on the back where the thread would go.

Very nice digs Roger.:clapping: That Barber is kind of dinged up and hope it's not a key date. That silver pendant is pretty neat. HH on your next outing.
