Satisfying 3HR Hunt Sunday Night 7-10PM Pacific Time

POLEWAGGER

New member
Decided to check out a little park nearby, that dates back to the 30's.
Lots of clad pennies and dimes...ho hum...
Almost ready to head back home...
Working around a tree, after the third hard hitting coin in a half circle, I thought to myself... "is this a set up?"...this nice little 3gr 925 silver ring discriminated all the way like a quarter or shallow dime...I'm OK with this kind of set up! I guess this little park needs some SERIOUS detecting!
I'll be back!
Pics have coins arranged quarters, nickels, dimes, 80's copper, 70's, 60's, clad.
Aluminum tubing, lead chunk, old metal toys, typical trash.
This is the ENTIRE take for a 3hr hunt.
The modded Cibola can find coins ANYWHERE!!!
YES! Even on the MOON!!

Great going! Finding a nice silver ring makes for a good day.

Just got back from the Moon, and I was wrong. Didn't find any coins at all since they require a permit to detect on the Moon! Now that I have my permit, I'm heading back! :crylol:
(The preceding was entirely fictional)
Thanks for the kind response guys!
That's my fourth silver ring, so I guess I'm about due for some gold soon!
Still a noob going on a year, but I'm ready for some more finds that are a little more exiting than clad pennies. Can't help but get jealous when I hear about all the silver coins and nice jewelry that some guys are finding. My next hunt will be back to the area where I've had most of my best finds. Have been striking out big time on my 1936 aerial locations. Very frustrating spending hours researching, then driving, then hunting and finding nothing old like was expected. At least I'm learning a lot about navigating with old maps, Google Earth and a GPS.
I'm hopelessly addicted to this hobby so I can't help but wish for better fortune to justify spending more time :detecting:

A successful hunt, nice!
