The weather was supose to be bad so I didn't make any plans but when I got up Sat. morning and it was nice out I called KennyMac and off we went. We hit a feild that I went to a couple weeks ago and did good. KennyMac found a Va. button and a nice shell fuse. Maybe he will post later. Here's my take for the day. Hope everybody had a great weekend. HH

Looks like you had a really great day.. Whats the backmark on the Virginia?

Stan, you truely are the Master! I wish my Explorer II brung home the amount of stuff yours does. That same old field were I met you at is still producing some good finds. I went out with two new friends on Saturday and I found one Indian Head 1892, One Wheat Back 1905, a spur, a brass number 1 which I'm not sure the era but it was found in the same hole as the spur, and a rosette. That farm you guys are hunting sure seems nice. Hope to see you again soon and do some hunting together! Stay safe and keep up the great work!

I recently found an eagle button with a "sun" like the one that has been slightly cut off at the top right. What type of button is it, do you know. Mine is in excellent shape, dark chocolate brown with excellent detail.
Kent from Memphis

They were issued during World War 1 or 2. I found a small belt plate last year with the same eagle. Not as old as the civil war but still great finds. Congrats on your button.HH
