found my first barber half and it was also my oldest coin so far 1896s ,3 wheaties ,a mississippi tax token,and various other doo-dads.

VERY nice half!!!! Have you looked in the Red Book for value? Outstanding!! Unless I looked wrong at least $500. My first silver half was a Barber, but not remotely close to yours. Again...Great Job. More good fortune to you in the future.
 
Beautiful half you got there. Really nice shape. My first Barber half was 1899 and bent like someone used it for a pry bar. Good job

Great job... That is better than any half that I have pulled out the ground. I would be going back soon if it was me!
