Sandy Didn't Give Up the Goods...

Was able to detect Saturday and Sunday. Although I didn't get the good stuff, I had a great time with the Sand Shark. I did find one item I hope someone could help me identify. I will post it in the whatzit forum but figured I would post here as well. Prior to cleaning it up some, I thought it was a gun. It looks like a a clamp of some sort. Any thoughts?

Looks like what's left of a large C clamp to me. I was out Sat and got some greenies but no gold either....

I was thinking the upper part to a grease gun?? still a little bit found there
