Sanded in but......

Drove to my special spot just to find 4-5" of sand that is not normally there. Hunted for about an hour with only 5 signals because most of the signals are normally 6-8" under the oyster shale....which put the signals now 10-12". After my first three signals were cast net weights and the forth a memorial penny I started wading towards my truck and got a nice tone...checked the screen and had a 13-40....hmmm thinks I. Dug a fully encrusted coin about the size of a quarter. Didn't think much of it because even though most of the items from this spot are mid to late 1800's....I had never pulled an old coin out of here. Got home and made a small electrolysis unit and turned it on. 15 minutes later this pops out! Turned out to be a 1876 Seated Liberty quarter in not very good shape...but I'll take it any day!

Thats a great score considering the conditions! Good Work on it there! A guy never knows what the conditions will be..just gotta go look and fire up the coil like you did!
