Sand shark

chad in nb

New member
I have a tigershark for freshwater. I have tried using it for the coast here in New Brunswick but it is just to unstable. Is the sand shark a good salt water machine or should I look into something else. If I do get one would I be as impressed as I was with the Tigershark? Thanks for your response

My experience with the Tesoro Sandshark has been great. I detect the black sand beaches of Southern California ,and mineralization is tough out here. In most cases the VCO mode will cut right through the black sand interference, but in severe instances the normal mode is used. The signal is quite steady and the depth is very good (two to three large scoops is common). You will dig everything, but the target signals are fewer out in the surf, so it's not much of a tradeoff. Battery life is very good.Very happy with the unit. My ring count has gone up as well. Hope this helps you, Redlance
