sand shark vs whites tdi

Might want to ask on the PI Technology forum.

I have not used a TDI or even seen one yet. My limited understanding with respect to comparing these two is that the Sand Shark was designed for the salt water beach environment and the TDI has a number of features and adjustments available that are aimed at prospecting and relic hunting in bad and widely varying ground conditions. The Sand Shark is waterproof to about 200 feet while the TDI is not waterproof and intended for land use. Kind of an apples to oranges issue even though both are PI's.

okay, got a serious question.we all have different coils for different sites.tesoro told me that if i have a coil that i use most of the time,
say,my 10inch widescan,i should get it recalibrated for my machine to get the most out it.but,by doing that, the stock coil will work fine, but may lose a little depth.i asked if the machine could be tuned to all my coils and was told that only one could be actually fine tuned to it. has anyone found this to be much of a problem?i use the stock coil alot, but i want to get the most out of the widescans also.i would just like some opinions from other tesoro users.thanks! love my cibola.
