sand shark or garret

I'm thinking of getting a p.i. detector for the surf and wet sand at the beach. Price wise I've narrowed it down to the Tesoro sand shark and the garret sea hunter2. I like tesoro's warranty, life time. garrets i think is 2 or 3 yrs. Please give me the pros's and con's of these two machines, I have detectors for the dry sand. and yes i have to keep the price between $550. to $650.

i have owned both i preferred the sand shark it is lighter, goes deep, lifetime warranty you can choose between two coil sizes on ordering, just my thoughts

I have had the infinum and now have the Sand Shark, and really love this machine, its lighter and with the box in the back it balances out really well. I love the way the control box clips on the shaft, you push in the buttons and move it to different locations.

I have the new hard wired 10" coil and it is great,the deepest i have dug is 20" on a quarter in wet sand, unbelievable but true.

The Sand Shark i just seems to run quieter and with a steady threshold sound, you can easily tell when a slight difference accrues.

Thin gold chain at 10" response was just a quiver in audio but once i started to dig the sound got stronger.

I can't say enough for this unit, if you are hunting for gold as in prospecting then the Infinium would be a better unit but if it is the beach that you will be hunting the Sand Shark i believe is the best PI unit out there.s
