Sand Shark for prospecting

New member
Anyone ever used the Sand Shark for prospecting? I would think that a PI machine like the Sand Shark should be good for prospecting.

Hi,

The Sand Shark does not ground balance. Non-ground balancing PI units hit hot rocks as much or worse than a ground balancing VLF unit and so are not good prspecting units. Unless you have that rare area with great gold and no hot rocks! Current ground balancing PI units are the Minelab SD/GP units, Garrett Infinium, and Eric Foster's Goldscan 5.
