Sand Shark finds Diamonds !!!

Hi, Now for the Good Stuff !!! On day 2 I got down to the beach around 6:30 am. This time in Santa Monica. I ws working the wet sand with a Very low tide and Tons of area to hunt. I worked a nice channel cut with water flowing to the waves and across the beachline. Lots of trash...lots of Beer caps. The beach plows came out after about an hour and started plowing the sand. I thought this would take all the goodies away. But it left the beer caps so i fingered it lefts some rings too...maybeeeeeeeee... After awhile on the wet sand with no luck & hardly any targets at all ( to my surprise) I hit the dry sand. I was working the beach & I see this lady come walking towards me & waving. I thought she was waving at someone else. I tried to avoid her thinking she was going to hit me up for a handout. I was doing my best to walk away & she said ...I need some help. I pointed to another guy sitting near by... he'll help me she said ?? I nodded...I need help finding a Ring she said.... I 've read enough MD stories to see where this is going so I took off my headphone and talked with her. She said she lost her wedding rind the night before. Gold with a heart shaped diamond. I asked where and she showed me a huge area. I'm thinking no way am I going to hunt all of that area !!! LOL So we narrowed it down. I told her if I find any rings without a heart shaped stone I'm keeping them...lol...she said OK...We'll she drew a line to start the search area & went down about about 50 feet to draw another line. I started. The first target was another beer cap...but the second target gave me a good strong signal. And sure enough when I looked in my scoop I say a Very Nice Gold Wedding ring with Diamonds all over it !!! I did'nt think it was heart shaped though...but as I brushed the sand away it was... I held it up & she was So Excited to get it back !!! She was laughing and thanking me & even fell over onto the sand with joy !! She gave me a litle finders fee too !! I know some of you guys would not have taken it but it sure helped with my gas on the way back to AZ ...LOL Later she told me that she was calling MD'ers to come help her find it. Well it was my best find so far. We said good bye & left...then I thought..I should have asked her to take some pictures...oh mannnnnnnnn...luckly later that day I saw her & we both took some photos !!! See below !!! Enjoy !!!

regarding the finders fee, I can't imagine declining it like some folks do.

Good job!

Hi & Thanks !! The Sand Shark is a PI machine so no disc settings...you dig everything !! But it's great for the salt water !! DW

Nothing wrong with a Finders Fee. I figure 10-20% of the lost items value would be fair.
