sand shark and the target sounds

new to PI's got the sand shark figured out the nails coins,bottle caps,pull tabs all sound the same is this the PI world. Ive read in one of Clive's books to look for the round sounds if I read it right. Can someone help with target sounds.

When you get a beep, pinpoint it, then sweep in a circle around the target, listening for another beep. Bobby Pins, Rusty nails, and other elongated items will double beep and sound like 2 targets next to eachother. Targets are pretty spread out on my beaches, so I skip all double beeps... unless it double beeps one way and also double beeps from 90 degrees, I dig those, a few times they turned out to be broken rings or big bangle bracelets.
