Sand Shark and Stingray out prowling again today...

My buddy and I got for a little water hunting today and had a pretty successful day.
I got the silver pendant and the tungsten ring shown.
The chain on the pendant is about 31" long total and the ring is a size 12.5.
My buddy found 2015 class ring although we are not sure what kind of metal it is made of.. it has a nice design to it...not sure what school yet either.. need to research it.
He also got another ring that we think may be stainless ( no markings ) and a small crucifix with no markings.
Between us, we got a lot of clad out of the water and off the beach too.

Going to the lake tommorow to carry my rebuilt Sting ray.Cant wait!!! I went sat for about ann hour only found clad but I/m new to the machine.Any pinpointing tips? I did seem to do better toward the end of the short hunt.Plan on spending at least 3 hours tomm.HH

I use the Sand Shark and my buddy uses the Stingray..
My advice is to move slowly and dig every signal. Also keep the disc. turned down low if you want gold.
A scoop with a large opening is very helpful in locating and retrieving targets.. sometimes they elude me even with a large scoop, but mostly the hairpins and light foil gives me the most problems.
Coins and rings tend to stay put if you miss them the first couple of times.
Just take your time and try to cover the area good.
Good luck and happy hunting!!!

You did great! I need to do some fresh water beach detecting. :detecting:

Great job on that beach hunt! The beach is safer place for all of us when it is cleared of clad and jewelry!

Yesterday I took my Tiger into the big bay by us and froze my butt off. I can never remember the water being that cold in the middle of summer. It was cold as the Great Lakes on a normal year. I lasted about 45 minutes.

beaches are great ,

Wow Felix that is a beautiful chain and pendant and the ring looks to be in mint condition! Congratulations on a very successful hunt! - Jim
