Sand scoop

Beyonder

New member
Hey I'm taking my ctx to an old park with a lake and I need one of those sand scoop u can dig with in the water standing up and can use my foot to push into the sandy bottom. I don't want a retractable and it has to be durable. Any help?

after a lot of research, I recently purchased the larger t-rex model. the way it's built I think it's going to last me till the end of time

Big factor, your physical condition. Having a scoop that is light weight and being able to use it all day is a plus. I have owned many scoops and found at 61 I want a scoop I can handle full of sand, as well as lugging to a distant location when needed, And yet can cover my needs. Unfortunately the scoops I use are either not in production or went out of production many years ago. (Diablo Titanium n Old Miller hoop scoop) So I might suggest the Stvar's scoops, with a fiber Glass handle, very lite and durable.

Check out the Sun-Spot. HH :minelab:

The Sun-Spot is on my wish list. Check out GDM's video.
The 720i with the carbon fiber handle weighs less than 4 lbs.
A little pricey though, I'm saving up for it.

I'm going to be in the market for one soon, but being 6hr from the beach it won't get used as much as I'd like too.

If you do purchase a sand scoop, what ever one you decide on, I would get one with a leverage handle. It makes it much easier to pick it up and twist and dump it.
