Sand scoop vs barber dime

Was at a beach that seemed totally clean of coins and pull tabs. Got a signal but it was stuck in a crevice in somewhat soft sandstone about an inch deep. Would never have guest it was a barber dime, especially in this obviously "worked out" beach. Used my diamond head scoop to get at it but should have been patient and used my pocket knife. Lesson #1... be more patient. Lesson #2 ....no beach has been worked out. Still I was very glad to have found my first barber, but really wish I hadn't messed it up.
Cheers,
Jim

It's been waiting all these years.......Very Nice find..............so true on lessons #1 & #2

Nothing worse than destroying a find. I plunged my leche in the ground thinking the target was a pull tab and wound up knocking the diamond center stone out of it's prongs and splitting the band OOPPS!!!!!
