Sand Scoop RTG Simple Mod :hot:

OK, I have seen all the DIY sand scoops out there and was not satisfied with the quality... I did some browsing and found exactly what i was looking for at a great price and free shipping. Kelly-co had it for 59.90 vs 79.95 everywhere else and that inc free shipping.

So i splurged and got it. Delivered today and it is SO worth it! unless you have a welder and the skills to use it you will never be able to make one of these for 60 bucks. The 1 issue i have with it is i am going to have to hold it the entire freaking time i am detecting...

Even though its very light "less then 2 pounds" I now have both arms tied up... How am i going to smoke:hot:? Drink:drinking:? Scratch myself?:yikes: lol

A simple mod made it so much better.... I'm sure its been done but here is my version. ......Drilled a hole through the handle and there was already a space on the bottom so I just used heavy duty wire ties for now but i am going to replace them with metal rings and i attached a spare adjustable bag strap i had lying around and voila.. I have a free arm again!!! Yeah!!!! :detecting: Don't be checking out the chick... she did not come with the scoop! :rofl:

I know.......I have mental issues ;)
 
I don't see the scoop? I'm sure it works great. All I see is a very nice looking woman. Maybe it's your camera?

I got a old golf bag strap in mind for my RTG scoop! Same type deal as yours setup. My scoop is 9 lbs :blink: With added grab bar and styrofoam it might be more. Anyway. HH -Joe
