Hi I am new to surf detecting. Got a PI Pro and am learnig how to scoop in the surf. Boy is it tough. Maybe I will need a dredge lol.
However, Everytime I get back home and go about cleaning /rinsing off the salt from the unit, I notice that sand has found its way into the cam locks.I pick them down and rinse out the sand.
Has anyone with a surf detector experienced this. If so what steps have you taken to minimize it. I was thinking about taping up the holes not used for adjusting the length of the rod & then rewinding the cable from the coil.
