Sand in my video camera! I need a waterproof, dustproof cheap small camera.....

I think I just trashed my Ativa camera. I took it over from my Son because he uses his phone for pics and vids. So I started using it for detecting vids. It's been doing good and Windows Movie Maker likes it too. Unlike my real nice JVC Everio that WMM hates because it records in .mov format. Anyway I was hunting a sand volleyball court and got sand inside the camera! I will attempt to open it up and clean it out. But I was thinking about getting a Kodak Play Sport waterproof camera? Anyone use one? Any better suggestions for a cheaper waterproof camera? Thanks.
