Hi All,

I built a stainless steel scoop 23 years ago I call "The poor man's backhoe". I've yet to build or find a satisfactory screen in plastic that works to suit me. I've been looking for a heavy plastic wash basin I can bore holes in and so far no luck. Help!!!

Thanks and HH. all,

Cupajo

Go to a sporting goods store(or catalog) and look for a tub that is used for sifting the polished brass cases from the tumbling media. They are heavy duty plastic and you can drill the holes bigger if needed.I use one in my floater for water hunting.

Hi WaterBug,

Thanks for your idea. I have something like that and it is too small. My scoop is "Very Large" and I need a comparable device to sift thru the contents of that scoop. 14 to 16 inches of screen diameter would be perfect. Where I hunt there are large cobble sized stones bordering on boulder size. I wedged one in the scoop once and had a tough time getting it out. It is 81/2" in diameter by 11" deep and weighs way too much, but it has served me for years now and keeps on doing a great job. It's only for diggin and dumpin tho.

HH. Friend,
