Sand Bar Day 4

What a day! It was about 78 degrees under a clear blue sky today with barely a breeze. I took the kayak out to the sandbar (it's getting easier and faster) and there were about 12 boats there ahead of me. I was the only one with a metal detector. I spent about an hour and a half on a straight line from a volleyball net pole through a buoy to a distinctive looking house on the far shore. Found a few clad quarters and dimes, a wheatie that must've been in the sand for a long time because the date is unreadable, another Mexican silver ring and some junk earrings. But the best part of the day was just being out there. I hope you all had a great day too!

I'll post pictures of the ring tomorrow; need daylight to get the markings.

Watch out re educating too many folks. Monkey see, Monkey do. Keep that honey hole to yourself and your buds!

That sounds like a very cool place, the wheat penny is a good sign, old place and the old coins are not too deep to get..
