Well this was a rare treat another MacIntire piece.I've been restoring high end furniture for over 20 years and only got to work on 5 or 6 of Samuel MacIntire pieces over the years. He worked out of Salem Ma.late 1700's into the early 1800's.I got to work on a game table earlier this year. This chest was miss a lot of molding round the top and draws. The back two cookies, with bad water and ink stains on top. This chest is called a four draw, bow front, with cookie corners top and book matched crouch mahogany draw front[1790's]with carved columns. He's piece are hard to come by,Most are in museums. One of his chair sold this summer for over $200,000.This chest is going up for sale at auction this weekend,it should do well.Enjoy.
