Well I have always used Two tone ferrous at old house sites. Jim introduced those setting to me last year and we have pulled all kinds of goodies from the iron infested yards.. Large Cents, Indians, even some Seated Dimes.. I never really thought about using the settings in the park thinking it would be two many setting to deal with. Here lately with everyone posing good finds with the two tone settings, I decided to give them a try.. They work just as well in the parks as they do in the old house site.. Those deep coins buried in the iron sound out real well.. There were many holes that I had to pull the nails out before i could even find the coins.. Everything i found was at various depths, from 6 inches all the way to about 12.. I was all the way past my elbow trying to retrieve the lantern piece lol Like i said the setting work great put they can be a hassle if there is a lot of trash in the ground.. Just have to go slow and listen.. I hunted keeping a eye on the depth meter.. Digging anything past 6 inches and had a conductive signal of around 29 or more.. I was able to pull some old wheat's,, a 1905 Indian, a silver rosy, a few jewelry pieces, a 1916 dog tag, a eagle button, and an old Chinese coin what is pretty sweet. Thanks for looking everyone.. And happy hunting..
