SAME DEPTH READINGS WITH SMALLER COIL?

Hi ALL,
I'm new to this forum and have my Quattro for 3 months now and still learning on how to use it. My question is, will a smaller coil, 8" or 5", have the same accurate depth reading as the 10" coil? What i'm trying to say is, if the target reads halfway ( 6" ) with the 10" coil, will the smaller coils show the saME DEPTH? May I say that this forum has answered many of my questions, but can't find this one.

Read the same depth as it is calibrated for the stock coil. The depth meter will read deeper than it actually is, on the 8 inch coil I believe it will be around 2 inches while the 5 inch coil will show more and probably show 3 or 4 inches deeper than it actually is.
