Salvation and the End Time for April 21 to 27

How did Jesus respond to Philip? John 14:9. What does His response teach us about the Father? What misconceptions about God should His response clear up?

Jesus answers Philips question with a question: "Don't you know me, Philip...?" and then states, " Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father." Jesus and the Father are one.

Think about the fact that Jesus represents God the Father. Why is this such a wonderful and hopeful truth, especially for those who might sometimes be afraid of God?

Often times I have heard people say that they don't go to church because it is nothing but Hell , fire and damnation. So sad they miss that God loves us so much that he provided a way for us to escape that Hell, fire and damnation. God loves us. He gave us His Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life with God. And He gave us His Holy Spirit to help us live according to His Will.

Read John 1:1-3, 14 and Philippians 2:5-8. What do they teach us about who Jesus is?

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is God. He came to us in the flesh and offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. The "grace and truth" are the ways we are supposed to live and that He will give us grace in the forgiveness of all our sins: past, present and future. Jesus time on earth was a living example for us on how we are to live out lives for Him.

Read Romans 8:38, 39. How does what we read in the study today give us powerful reasons to trust in what Paul says to us here?

The price was paid with Jesus' death on the cross. If we believe in Him and trust Him as our Lord and Savior over our lives, then nothing, absolutely nothing can take that away.

Everything the Spirit does reveals divine love. What are some of the things He does? Luke 12:12, John 16:8-13, Acts 13:2.

He teaches us, comforts us, guides us, leads us, and gives us the words we are to say.

How much comfort can we draw from the fact that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all at work for our eternal good?

Oh the peace! The joy! The comfort! The world does not understand, but we, the saved , do! We live our lives every day to show the world that they are able to receive what we have been given. We can live our lives free from sin. That's not to say we go out and commit sins freely. No, it says that we receive grace and mercy when we do sin.
