Salty Excalibur gold.

I've been lax in posting my springtime finds with all my detectors. This one gets posted because the Excalibur came last summer when I was laid in a hospital 180 miles from home for 35 days and this week was my first time in the ocean with it. Iy was also the 1yr anniversary of my ordeal, Im okay now. I had bought it off eBay last year with a carbon fiber straight shaft. I believe the seller participated here on Findmall. Any way I'm having a blast with it. My style of summer water hunting is in a wet suit so I can move freely and not swamp waders. I would estimate this 1940's-50's style birthstone ring was sitting in the ocean probably 40+ years due to the alloy leeching it exhibited. Some fine metal polish cleaned it up. It's 6.1 dwt with the stone. It (according to my jeweler buddy) to be high quality lab created ruby, it was kinda the ugly duckling turned swan with a little polish.

That is a beautiful ring. Nice clean design, I like it. Congratulations!

Fine looking salty yellow...

Thanks guys! Getting out doing what we enjoy is the best therapy. Since we had those massive storms on the east coast the hunting has yielded some older and previously out of reach goodies. Since winter time I've seen friends come up with great stuff.

Beautiful ring Bruce. Glad you're feeling better and doing the things you love.

Sending an interesting email to you.
