salt water wet sand

I checked the beach program for the V3i and it is close to what I run and others guys are too.

I use the 9.5 coil instead of the D2 at the beach
I run a higher recovery rate.
I also increase the RX and Discrimination sensitivity until it starts to get unstable and back it off a little.
That's about it.

Hi Don,
Each beach is different.

I run about the same thing as Rob. BUT I have been using the DD coil and I have no problems. I have dug a penny at just over 2 feet at the beach.

Also if I notice it starts getting a little chirpy as I walk. I will re ground balance before I lower settings. It helps some times.

Good luck

That manual ground balancing occasionally is proving to be an important thing for myself also ferd. (Especially when wading through heavy iron.....and don't want to locktrac because the mess is only in a patch.)
