salt water wet sand SE settings

Headed to the NC beach at Emerald Isle for 1 week. Anyone know what adjustments to settings I will need to make for mineralization?

Thx

Aaron

The only setting I change on my SE when at the beach is to lower the gain from 9 down to 6 or 7. This reduces falsing caused by the black sand. Reducing the gain makes deeper target sound off with less volume amplitude. But don't worry about missing deep signals.

thanks John.....do u know anything about gold panning in NC? Any ideas where we might find some place good for the kinds and I to experience this?

thanks

Aaron
