Hi all! Among the silver finds taken on my recent trip to Hawaii were two Walking Liberty Quarters. The one on the left (reverse) was found on the land (old picnic area), the one on the right was found in waist deep water at the beach. I've never dug a liberty in the water before and was suprised at the amout of corrosion (both sides of coin equally). Coin is barelly recognizable. This coin was bright silver right out of the water, like it was being used as an anode.
Is this about the same amount of corrosion you guys find from similar aged coins in your
beach hot spots or is this a fluke? Thanks!
