Salt/Fresh water machine recommendations

Tippy

New member
Hello All,

I have been detecting for about 3 years. Land only, mostly playgrounds, fresh water beaches etc. Found my first gold 4 weeks ago, in a playground in Tofino, B.C....a young girls 10k ring. I have a Tesoro Eldorado and I really like it. Now I am interested in a water/underwater machine. I have researched ALOT it appears the Excalibur is the top machine. I have considered PI's and am still on the fence about it. I am slightly partial to Tesoro.I have access to a machine shop, and being a machinist have no problem converting a land machine to underwater use. I would like a machine for fresh/salt water...without starting a "Brand War" what are your recommendations?

Thank you,

Tippy

that a waterproofed Sov is hard to beat, and even though I have an Elite, I'll still keep using my CZ-20. As to the PI units...there are a couple guys where I detect that can have any detector they want, but will only use PI units, and they have found more rings than I ever will in my lifetime. The plus side of the PI units is there is virtually no learning curve. Good luck.
