I HAVE BEEN IN THE WATER HUNTING WITH WADERS. ALSO HUNTED SOME FIELDS W/BOB+METALDIG BOB GOT A NICE 1600'S COPPER STILL TRYING TO ID. IT!ITS LARGE LIKE A SILVER DOLLAR! I GUESS I'LL GO BACK IN THE WATER TILL THE BEACH IMPROVES!SEE YOU AT THE NEXT NORTHEASTER!!

Good luck on that copper. Post a pic of it if you can. I may try to hit the beach again this weekend. Maybe that small area will won't get covered up too much.

Got a Colonial Copper of my own today that is in the same condition as yours from the sound of it. I have it soaking in olive oil as we speak and hopefully that will work it's magic. It is a little smaller than a Large Cent and thick! I thought I found another button until I took a closer look.

Also found a buckle and a crotal bell at this new field location. The owner is very nice but the digging is a little hard with the top inch frozen... hopefully we can have another couple of weekends before the ground freezes completely.

Can't wait till the next NorEaster... going to try and double my gold ring collection this year (which would make two)! Tell Bob and Marc I said hello.

It was a miricle one of us didn't get sucked out to sea!

It was hard enough dragging Ron to the beach that one day over the summer as he definitely prefers field hunting. I will try to drag him to the beach this winter after a storm but I can already tell he is not a fan of the cold weather. I will talk him into it though!

When you guys going to post the new pics? Really looking forward to seeing your copper, Bob's LG Cent, and Metaldigs Seated Half.
