Sailsbury, Hampton update

ED-NH

New member
I met up with James for an early morning hunt at Sailsbury. We met at 4:00am. It was flat as a pancake. All the dunes that got cut over weekend were dragged back in. The place was flat. I moved to Hampton and it was flatter then I have ever seen. The birm in front of the bath house was almost non existent. This storm dragged some serious sand from shore and put it onto the beach. James it was great to meet you! I was home by 6:30am.

Hopefully the other two hunters that we met on our way out stayed longer and found the goods!!!!

Nice coin patches just to the south. Lots of targets, but deep. Most were small denominations. I picked up 9 silvers, wheats, buffalos, and a nice V nickel. No gold or large coins showed that I saw. Too tiring chopping through that frozen sand too!

Glad you were more persistant than me and had a few finds. I was thinking of heading a little South but everything looked flat to me and my feet were freezing by that point. I was dumb enough to wear sneakers but; in my own defence, I wasn't expecting to head down into the wet sand.
I guess that shows your experience over me... I'm still a relative newbie and am still learning.

It was real nice to meet up with you ED. We will have to do it again when some real sand has moved.
