how user friendly is the Safari? and what one would be a better relic detector Safari or the F75ltd? thanks for your help

Everyone seems to like the F-75s for relic hunting so they must be pretty good. I have a Safari that is a great machine. But I don't do a lot of relic hunting. I go sometimes with my son that relic hunts about all the time. He uses a V-3 and loves it. A lot of our friends have F-75s and T-2s and they like their machines as well. But they don't go around these parks that are close to high voltage switchyards or the hydro-electric dams in this Tennessee Valley area because of all the EMI which is no problem with my son's V-3 or my minelabs. So you may want to talk with people in your area before you spend a lot of money and time on a high end machine. They all have learning curves. If most of your hunting is going to be relic hunting the F-75 might be your ticket but if you are going to hunt coins or beach hunt you may want to consider a more versatile choice. I can't think of a bad machine out there but some just excell in some areas better than others. This forum is the best place to help you make your detector choice. Good Luck and HH:detecting:

Hi dragon6banger. I primarily relic hunt. I'm now using the T2 after a month with the Safari. I love them both, the safari is extremely user friendly and after practice I was able to locate small flat buttons in heavy square nails and of course it is deep. I just took my T2 to a fairgrounds which went out in the 20's. The only junk metal is iron therefore most of the coins have long ago been recovered. On an average day there I recover one or two coins in five hours, well I recovered five indian heads and one three cent nickel in about four hours with the T2 and I'm new to this unit. I did dig about twenty iron targets also as I do with most detectors when relic hunting. The T2 has an advantage when going over plowed or unlevel ground, { less falseing }. Hope I was of help, good luck hunting, Darryl.
