safari question beach hunting

Hello i am having problems in the sand i will get a hit say 37 and than it will hit at 37 for everything. I take off the cover and clean it and dry it and it is OK but than it goes back to it. I just want to know if it is the water in the cover that is doing it should I remove it. Is anyone else getting this it works great in the grass and dirt only when it is wet and in sand. THANKS

After each days of hunting remove your coil cover and clean it,after a while the Small rock stock in the cover get magnetize.Water is not the problem.

What sensitivity you are using, try lower sensitivity. If the problem continue maybe you have a bad coil.

That happened to me at North Myrtle Beach. Was the first time I had ever seen it. I think mine was an 11 though.
I took the cover off and rinsed it but had the same issue.
Not sure what was causing it, I just ignored it as it was easy to determine that it was not a real signal.

here in long beach ca. there seems to be a lot of black sands on the beach. when i beep at the beach i just leave my cover off then i dont have to worry about all the little particles of ??? staying in there & scraping around. the sand gets in there anyway so the protection from the cover is minimal imo. good luck out there
