Safari or Sovereign?

New member
Been detecting for about 15 years. I have never used a Minelab detectector before. I mostly hunt coins and jewellery. However, sometimes I like to hunt for deeper coins and relics in the woods. Which detector would be better for my needs for the deeper stuff. A Safari or a Sovereign?

I've played with the Quatro which is very similar to the Safari and it's a dog. Even more slow and slugish than most Minelabs IMHO and not as good of depth. If you want a computerized detector then head straight for the Etrac, or perhaps an Explorer if you can put up with it's unbalanced heavy weight and other little things that drove me crazy using it.
