safari compared to sovereign

Safari compared to sovereign GT - which way to go? I was looking at ordering a Safari. I am reading your comments about the Safari and am getting leary of buying one. Is it that hard to use or is it that people don't know how to use it? It doesn't seem that difficult to use. Any comments would be appreciated on the Safari - buy or don't buy?

Well I didn't buy a Sovereign.. But I can say I am enjoying my Safari... It is quiet, feels good, swings good, sounds good, and 99% of the time the target is 'balls on' dead center of the coil... It is easy to operate, just learning the sounds and targets is new to me.. I have never had a ML product, and I must say it is a deep seeking machine as well as fun when you get used to what to do, how to do it, and when to do it... It is NOT hard to operate... At least in my world...

Just like every other machine, it takes a little time to LEARN it, and when you come across an issue or something you haven't seen before, then there is usually an answer on here that addresses it or gives good guidance toward an answer..

I have a Safari and like it very well. Safari is my first detector so I think I have had a greater learning curve than someone who has had detecting experiance. I really like the machine and it performs great. It took me a while to really understand the different tones, but I am doing very well now. I hunted along side a detecting veteran with his Sovereign a while back and hung right with him. In my oplinion, the Safari was able to decipher junk signals better than the Sovereign.
