Safari, an outstanding detector

Today I found an Indian Head penny along side a rusted steel bottle cap in a 3 inch diameter, 5 inch deep hole I dug. I was in the Coin and Jewelry factory settings mode. The processor seems fast enough for me. The Safari is more than capable.

Very true Hardtack, the Safari is great for finding good targets among the trash. Today I found $1.85 in a very trashy area very close to the fire pit. The Safari sounded off on every target except iron. I would hear a piece of foil, then a pull tab, and bottle cap, then like magic I heard the coin. dug it up and sure enough there was a dime with a pull tab, piece of melted pop can. checked the sand hole and the bottle cap was still down there. this machine is great. Herdtack1862 hope thats not when you were born? and Gene.
Great post on Safari.
I don't know how many times I have had 2 tones, low tone and high tone a reading of 30's. I dig all of those kind of signals and many times it is a coin and junk in the same hole. But remember old dead eye isn't to great at pin pointing yet so my holes are bigger than normal, but what do you expect from someone that isn't really normal?
Thanks guys.....Z

I love my safari its a good machine. Sounds like hardtrack has minimized his plug size. This just shows the safari is also a good pinpointing machine as well deep. My plugs are about the same size as Hardtracks. When I bring my brother out with me, I sometimes cringe when I see the manhole covers he calls a plug. :yikes: I like in when I can recover a dime that was intentionally wrapped in an old pull tab. Keep up the good finds, and the humorus posts.
