:sadwalk:Life without a pinpointer.

I opened the trunk of my celica and discovered that my $15.99 centex pinpointer wasn't there.:surprised: During my last hunt I must have dropped it
returning to the car. How on earth can I get along without that? Well thanks to the auto/retune toggle switch on the Bandido 2
I got along just fine.:clapping: I narrowed that audio so much I could have found the head of a pin. 95% of the targets were dead center.
I will pick up another centex because they're so inexpensive and I worry about damage to targets.:nerd: But it's good to know how
dead on that Bandido is with pinpointing.:yo:
Oh yeah! I found over 2 bucks in quarters today on the ball fields! All of them were deep but the Bandido knew they were there. That little flat
brown coil is awesome.

I left/lost a pinpointer once. I now connect a coiled lanyard to the pointer and hook it to my belt so that I can't absent mindedly leave it behind. While I can pinpoint pretty well and do without one, I really prefer it as it speeds up recovery when the coin is hidden in the loose soil or in the side of my excavation.

I lost a pinpointer in a park, had to get another one. This one has my name and phone number on it.

Always wanted to get a pin pointer.... but a Tesoro with a concentric coil usually pinpoints very well.

I'm up and down on pin pointers. A plastic shovel is usually sufficient. At other times the pin pointer is great. If the soil is really rocky then cool on the Pin pointer If it's just loamy or sandy, but not where I can use a scoop, then the plastic, comes out. If I should loose my pin pointer someday, I doubt if I'd replace it. I might change my mind if I ever used a high dollar unit, but my cheapo from harbor doesn't really show me that much.

I bought the Uniprobe by DetectorPro about five years ago, and yes they are expensive but they are worth every dollar paid. I can get a signal with my detector and usually be able to just kneel down and use the uni probe to find the target. It saves time and my knees from getting up and down so much. And did I mention ................These pinpointers are DeeeeeeeeeP!.......Hombre
