guess your next move is to bar me :lmfao: why? for saying it as it is !! very very sad Tesoro customer here in Australia in regards to repair work to be done i.e no communication to buyer over detector issues.! i am sure if others get treated as i have been its not going to be good for the poor fella here in Australia selling Tesoro's take my post down again but that wont change the facts !!

its a shame that great machines are not backed up by great after sales service to overseas buyers, you will either have to swallow your pride and fix my problem or bar me because i will keep posting of the non existent after sales service from Tesoro to Australia, it makes me sad that i have to do this very sad!!

bar me from here and i will post on other forums is the laying down of pride and fixing my problem really worth the bad press?

you will find i am really easy to deal with in fixing my problem but ignoring my emails for customer service and not fixing my machine will have me posting on every forum in WWW. land.

so please i beg of you make the wise choice i will be happy to here from tesoro and will not be nasty i just want my detector fixed its that simple !!

You sure are quick to judge. You claim you sent your email during the long holiday weekend and Tesoro has not opened their doors for business yet. You really have absolutely no clue what time it is in Prescott, AZ .

tabman

that's not true tabman it was sent 7 days ago and nothing not a boo from anyone, i do believe a reply of some kind would be in order after 7 days, i hope i am wrong and you are right because i like my tesoro's but if i can not get them fixed its pointless to buy more of them, and if someone has the time to remove my posts why don't they use that time constructively and resolve the issue that would seem to me the logical thing to do?
then all would be well and everyone including me, the post puller and tesoro would be happy it really is a win win win situation in my mind.

i have had issues with other US manufactures and when i complained publicly the issue was resolved and everyone is happy and there is no bad comments from a buyer it just seems to me that because i am not in the US it gets filed in the too hard basket when this is not the case.

if Tesoro contact me i am easy to get along with and am willing to pay shipping both ways, i just want my detector fixed its that simple :)

i have read many posts about Tesoros excellent customer service and short turn arounds on contact to customer having their detector back i only ask for that same service if that is wrong then i stand corrected,

all i want is an answer to my questions is that to much to ask?

Well alright, a few days before the long holiday weekend.

What's wrong with your detector and when and from whom did you purchase it?

brought 2nd hand of xxxxx my 1st mistake, will never do that again the discrimination is not working properly and when i say that i laid out several coins and tested with my cibola and then the offending silver umax and set at tab it should cut out XYZ coins like the cibola but does not.

i am not on a witch hunt here i have just about got to the point of bining the silver and buying a new one but then the issue still arises of problems? what happens?? bin it again? gets a bit expensive to just bin detectors if i can not get them fixed?

hey who knows i might get an email today from tesoro today and i hope i do and i am not above a public apology if i have too.

i just would like my detector fixed and feel safe to buy more in the future and like the topic is titled i would be very sad if i had no way of getting my detectors fixed with a minimum of fuss, so i would feel safe to buy more in the future!

its not the product i am complaining about here its getting it fixed, found 2 silver rings and a gold ring in the last few hunts with my Cibola, so am i getting my point across here?

i was just about in tears this afternoon thinking my relationship with these detectors is going to be a shorter one than i would like!

i own several brands and my Cibola goes everywhere with me so please please Mr Tesoro give me some hope :clapping:

Do you have to turn the discrimination knob past "tab" to discriminate out the coins? I don't understand what you're saying.

tabman

the same coins that will disc out at tab on my cibola still come through on the silver at tab and even with disc turned to full they are still coming through when they should have lost them at tab.

Well, It was sent on Friday Amberjack. I just recieved it today and you will get a reply here shortly. The email it goes to is support. Unfortunatly Our gal who recieves the support emails was on vacation.

First of all, I need to understand why you want to discriminate out coins. I don't understand coins being discriminated out at the pull tab setting.

hi allcav

i sent the email early last week, but that doesn't matter and i am sorry if i have caused any harm i just got scared i guess that i was being ignored again and that's my fault, wont go into the reasoning behind my fears as that will just make it worse, so please accept my apology and i do hope we can move forward from here and that my apology is enough?

tabman we have $1 & $2 coins that fall above tab the rest under so for the most part i am disc ed at tab for them and a bit higher for old silvers from time to time when things are slow i disc lower than tab in the hope a small gold ring or such will show up.

Tesoro does not run this forum. They just are one of the sponsors that support the Tesoro forum here at Finds.

If you were so adamant to contact Tesoro, why didn't you contact them directly, instead of posting it on a forum ? They don't frequent this forum, so leaving them a important message, they may not ever see it.

So you have coins in Australia that disc out above and below the "tab" mark on the discrimination dial. Your Cibola will disc out the coins that normally fall above the "tab" setting, but the your Silver won't???

Bill i did send them a email and wasn't answered is why i used the forum, but its all sorted now and i have publicly apologised for my "fear" and that's what it was. fear i would lose my fav detectors.

yes tabman 4 of our coins for 99% of the time fall under tab and 2 above what was happening was the coins below tab where coming through the disc at tab and above, so basically i had no discrimination which sort of defeats the purpose hey

To make sure I understand.

On your Cibola when the discrimination is set to the "tab" setting, it discriminates out the the 4 coins that normally fall below the "tab" setting.

However, on your Silver with the same "tab" setting, it will not discriminate those same four coins. Not even when you turn the discrimination dial completely clockwise as far as it will go. Right?

I know on my Eldorado, I had to recalibrate the dial because the knob set screw loosen and let the dial slip a tad.

However, it sounds like that's not the case with your Silver if you can't discriminate out coins that normally discriminate out below the "tab" setting at full discrimination.

yep that's it.

yes its not "normal" and my faith has been restored and the machine is on its way back for repair.
